Waymouths MB 752/1 is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. Waymouth's MB 752/1 medium was originally developed by Charity Waymouth to study the nutrition, metabolism and growth characteristics of mouse L strain subcell line L929 cells under serum-free conditions, but has since been adapted for the culture of a variety of cell lines, including cancer cell lines, and even whole organs. It is a chemically defined medium and contains many kinds of amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts and other ingredients for cell culture, but does not contain protein, lipids or any growth factors, and is therefore recommended to be used with serum or serum-free additives.
