Coagulation Factor IX / F9 is a Vitamin K-dependent plasma protein involved in the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation via its conversion of Factor X to its active form in the presence of Ca²⁺ ions, phospholipids, and Factor VIIIa. Defects in Coagulation Factor IX / F9 are the cause of thrombophilia and the cause of recessive X-linked Hemophilia B (HEMB), also known as Christmas Disease.

Mouse Coagulation Factor IX Recombinant (F9 or Christmas Factor) from Innovative Research has been produced in HEK293 cells and purified using a combination of several chromatographic steps to a purity of >95%.

• Molecular Weight Information: The secreted recombinant mouse F9 (pro form) is 454 amino acids in length in addition to a C-terminal His-tag, with a calculated molecular mass of 51.3 kDa. Glycosylation yields an apparent molecular mass between 60-80 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.  Predicted N-terminal amino acid: Ala 29

This product is useful as a positive control for ELISA and western blot and for a variety of in vitro applications including cell signaling, clotting assays, fibrinolysis, hemostasis studies, protein-protein interactions, and receptor binding. Activity is determined via complementation in an APTT clotting assay using Factor XII immuno-deficient human plasma.
