MEM Glucose Free With L- Alanyl -L-Glutamine And HEPES is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) is a widely used and basic culture medium for animal cells that contains 12 essential amino acids, glutamine, and 8 vitamins; it is often used in the culture of adherent cells. The NEAA (non-essential amino acid) version of the MEM medium, which includes 7 non-essential amino acids (L-alanine, L-glutamic acid, L-asparagine, L-aspartic acid, L-proline, L-serine and glycine), can help reduce the side effects of non-essential amino acid production and promote cell proliferation and metabolism. While the medium contains various ingredients for cell culture, it does not contain protein, lipids or growth factors, thus requiring the use of serum or serum-free additives during use. MEM without glucose may be supplemented with glucose according to research needs, making it a convenient and quick option for your cell culture work.
