Rat Platelet-Derived Growth Factor C ELISA Kit
IRTPDGFCKTThis Rat Platelet-Derived Growth Factor C ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of rat PDGF-CC in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This rat PDGF-CC ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for PDGF-CC has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: E.coli, Immunogen sequence: A235-G345) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for PDGF-CC is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the rat PDGF-CC amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Platelet-derived growth factor C, also known as PDGF-C, is a 345-amino acid protein that in humans is encoded by the PDGFC gene. It is mapped to 2q33-q34. Platelet-derived growth factors are important in connective tissue growth, survival and function, and consist of disulphide-linked dimers involving two polypeptide chains, PDGF-A and PDGF-B. PDGF-C is a member of the PDGF/VEGF family of growth factors with a unique two-domain structure and expression pattern. PDGF-C was not previously identified with PDGF-A and PDGF-B, possibly because it may be that it is synthesized and secreted as a latent growth factor, requiring proteolytic removal of the N-terminal CUB domain for receptor binding and activation. ; Immunogen sequence: 369
