This Mouse Vitamin D Binding Protein ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of mouse Vitamin DBP in cell culture supernates, lysates, serum, plasma (heparin) and urine. Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This mouse Vitamin DBP ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for Vitamin DBP has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: L17-S476) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Vitamin DBP is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse Vitamin DBP amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information:

The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Vitamin D-binding protein (DBP), also/originally known as gc-globulin (group-specific component), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GC gene. It is mapped to 5 E1; 5 44.32 cM. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the albumin gene family. It is a multifunctional protein found in plasma, ascitic fluid, cerebrospinal fluid and on the surface of many cell types. It binds to vitamin D and its plasma metabolites and transports them to target tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.; Immunogen sequence: 339
