This Mouse Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 1 (Tag7) Sandwich ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for Quantitative Detection of mouse PGLYRP1 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse PGLYRP1 Sandwich ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for PGLYRP1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: F19-E182) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for PGLYRP1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse PGLYRP1 amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information:
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Peptidoglycan recognition protein 1, also known as TAG7, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PGLYRP1 gene. The PGLYRP1 gene is highly expressed in bone marrow, circulating Polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMLs), and in the corneal epithelium. The PGLYRP1 protein is primarily found in the granules of PMLs. The PGLYRP1 protein plays an important role in the innate immune response. It is bactericidal against gram-positive bacteria such as S. aureus, S. epidermidis, and L. monocytogenes and generally has proinflammatory effects, inducing TNF-a and IFN-g in many tissues. PGLYRP-1 is also known to form a cytotoxic complex with HSP-70, suggesting it may also have a role in anti-cancer defense. As a pathogen recognition protein with antimicrobial properties, PGLYRP-1 is suspected to play an important role in maintaining the gut microbial flora.; Immunogen sequence: 369Click here to view a video tutorial covering frequently asked questions regarding ELISA workflows.
