This Human Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor 2 (TFPI-2) ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of human TFPI2 in cell culture supernates and serum. Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This human TFPI2 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for TFPI2 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(NSO, D23-F235) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for TFPI2 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human TFPI2 amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: TFPI2, also called Tissue factor pathway inhibitor 2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TFPI2 gene. It is mapped to 7q21.3. This gene encodes a member of the Kunitz-type serine proteinase inhibitor family. The protein can inhibit a variety of serine proteases including factor VIIa/tissue factor, factor Xa, plasmin, trypsin, chymotryspin and plasma kallikrein. This gene has been identified as a tumor suppressor gene in several types of cancer. Qualitative PCR and microarray analyses showed that expression of TFPI2 was inversely correlated with that of MIR616 in prostate cancer cell lines, primary tumors of various grades, and normal tissue.; Immunogen sequence: 369
