This Human Tenascin-R (Restrictin) ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of human Tenascin-R in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This human Tenascin-R ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for Tenascin-R has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: Q32-F1358) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Tenascin-R is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human Tenascin-R amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Tenascin-R is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNR gene. This gene is mapped to 1q25.1. Tenascin-R (TNR) is an extracellular matrix protein expressed primarily in the central nervous system. It is a member of the tenascin (TN) gene family, which includes at least 3 genes in mammals: TNC (or hexabrachion), TNX (TNXB), and TNR. The genes are expressed in distinct tissues at different times during embryonic development and are present in adult tissues. This gene encodes a member of the tenascin family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins. The encoded protein is restricted to the central nervous system. The protein may play a role in neurite outgrowth, neural cell adhesion and modulation of sodium channel function. It is a constituent of perineuronal nets. ; Immunogen sequence: 369
