This Human SLIT/NTRK-Like Protein 1 ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of human SLITRK1 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This human SLITRK1 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for SLITRK1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: N18-P622) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for SLITRK1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human SLITRK1 amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: SLIT and NTRK-like protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLITRK1 gene. It is mapped to 13q31.1. This gene encodes a member of the SLITRK protein family. Members of this family are integral membrane proteins that are characterized by two N-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domains and a C-terminal region that shares homology with trk neurotrophin receptors. However, the protein encoded by this gene lacks the region of homology to neurotrophin receptors. This protein is thought to be involved in neurite outgrowth. Mutations in this gene may be associated with Tourette syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. ; Immunogen sequence: 369
