This Human OX-200 Membrane Glycoprotein ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of human CD200 in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This human CD200 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for CD200 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(NSO, Q31-G232) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CD200 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human CD200 amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: OX-2 membrane glycoprotein, also known as CD200 is a human protein encoded by the CD200 gene. This gene is mapped to 3q13.2. The protein encoded by this gene is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein, which contains two immunoglobulin domains, and thus belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Studies of the related genes in mouse and rat suggest that this gene may regulate myeloid cell activity and delivers an inhibitory signal for the macrophage lineage in diverse tissues. It is suggested that CD200-CD200R signaling plays a central role in macrophage fusion and osteoclast formation.; Immunogen sequence: 369
