Goat Anti Bovine Haptogobin Polyclonal Affinity Purified from Innovative Research is a polyclonal antibody in Liquid format, buffered in Phospate buffered saline, pH 7.2 with 0.1% sodium azide. Goats were immunized with purified bovine haptoglobin, isolated from the serum of calves shown to have high levels of haptoglobin, in Freund’s adjuvant. The antiserum was solid phase absorbed with bovine serum lacking detectable haptoglobin. The anti-haptoglobin was immunoaffinity purified off a haptoglobin solid-phase immunoabsorbant.

The anti-haptoglobin only reacts with a single protein in the serum from some cows, calves, bulls and steers. This protein has the molecular characteristics of bovine haptoglobin and weakly cross reacts with some anti-human haptoglobin antibodies. The level of haptoglobin elevates dramatically during acute phase inflammatory insults. Suitable for ELISA and blotting applications.This product can be used for a wide range of research applications, including ELISA: 2 ug/ml, IP: 2 ug/mg, WB: 0.5 - 0.05 ug/ml.
