Key facts

Select this product for Molecular Innovations name, Human RAP Stable Mutant and product number, RAP-SM.Human Receptor-Associated Protein (RAP) Recombinant Stable Mutant from Innovative Research has been recombinantly produced in E. coli and purified by affinity chromatography.

This is a Frozen liquid buffered in 0.1M Tris HCl; 0.15M NaCl; pH 7.4 (Please note: buffer was previously 0.02M HEPES; 0.15M NaCl; 0.001M CaCl2; pH 7.5 and was changed as of May 5, 2025) and a purity of >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. More Details: Species: Human Target: Receptor-Associated Protein Purification Method: Affinity purified Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE Analysis Source: E. coli Storage Conditions: -70 C

    Additional Information:

Six mutations were made in the D3 domain (Y260 & T297 changed to cystines, generating a novel disulfide bond between helices 2 & 3; H257, H259, H268, & H290 changed to phenylalines). This is a stable mutuant that is resistent to both pH and heat-induced denaturation. This mutant will not unfold at pH 5.5, has a melting temperature of 73C, and is more resistant to trypsin- and chymotrypsin-mediated proteolysis. This product can be used as a control in applications like ELISA and Western Blot. It can be used for a wide range of in vitro applications, including blocking, cell binding, cell differentiation, cell signaling, protein-protein interactions, receptor binding, and more. At Innovative Research, we provide reliable, consistent products that deliver reliable, consistent results.
