Human PAI-1 Recombinant Stable Mutant Vitronectin Binding Negative from Innovative Research has been recombinantly produced in E. coli and purified by affinity chromatography. This is a Frozen liquid buffered in 0.05M Sodium Phosphate; 0.1M NaCl; 1mM EDTA; pH 6.6 with a concentration of 2.5 mg/ml and a purity of >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Human PAI-1 has four mutations (K154T, Q319L, M354I and N150H) that combine to create stability in the labile molecule, "locking" it to its active conformation. This product modifes the stable mutant through A double mutation (Q123K and R101A) to produce PAI-1 with a greatly extended half life and greatly reduced vitronectin binding.
This product can be used as a control in applications like ELISA and Western Blot.
