Human Alpha 1 Antitrypsin (A1AT) ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for the quantitative determination of total human A1AT antigen in plasma, serum, saliva, and urine. Free and complexed A1AT will be detected by the assay. Strip well format Reagents for up to 96 tests. Human A1AT will bind to the affinity purified capture antibody coated on the microtiter plate. Complexed and free A1AT will react with the antibody on the plate. After appropriate washing steps, biotinylated polyclonal anti-human A1AT primary antibody binds to the captured protein. Excess primary antibody is washed away and bound antibody, which is proportional to the total A1AT present in the samples, is reacted with horseradish peroxidase conjugated streptavidin. Following an additional washing step, TMB substrate is used for color development at 450nm. A standard calibration curve is prepared along with the samples to be measured using dilutions of human A1AT. Color development is proportional to the concentration of A1AT in the samples.
