Human Factor Alpha XIIa Purified

Human Factor Alpha XIIa Purified from Innovative Research has been prepared from Human Factor XII using Dextran Sulfate, and then purified to remove the activator. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 4 mM sodium acetate-HCl/ 0.15 M NaCl/ pH 5.3,. Complete activation was observed by SDS-PAGE analysis. Factor alpha-XIIa activates Factor XI to FXIa as part of the contact activation pathway in the coagulation cascade. Factor XIIa activates prekallikrein to kallikrein, which in turn converts FXII to FXIIa in a reciprocal activation mechanism that triggers the contact factor cascade.
