Graces Supplement Medium For Insect Cells is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. Grace's supplement medium for insect cells is a widely used cell growth medium for Spodoptera frugiperda cells, such as Sf9 and Sf21, which are commonly used in baculovirus expression vector systems (BEVS) for recombinant protein expression. The medium contains hydrolyzed milk protein, yeast powder, L-glutamine and sodium bicarbonate and must be used in conjunction with serum or serum-free additives. The medium was originally designed for cell growth of Antherea eucalypti.
