Bovine Ribonuclease B Partially Purified Lyophilized from Innovative Research has been prepared partially purified containing a mixture of RNase A and RNase B. This is a lyophilized powder. This product catalyzes cleavage of the phosphodiester bond between the 5Æ-ribose of a nucleotide and the phosphate group attached to the 3Æ-ribose of an adjacent pyrimidine nucleotide forming a 2Æ,3Æ-cyclic phosphate which may then be hydrolyzed to the corresponding 3Æ-nucleoside phosphate. Ribonuclease is inhibited by heavy metal ions and it is competitively inhibited by DNA. Provided as a soluable, dialyzed lyophilized powder.
