Bovine Factor IX Purified from Innovative Research has been purified from bovine plasma. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 20 mM Tris-HCl/ 0.1 M NaCl/ 1mM Benzamidine/ pH 7.4 and a purity of greater than or equal to 94% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis (showing no reduction when incubated with 2-mercaptoethanol). Factor IX produced as a zymogen and plays a role in blood coagulation (activated Factor IX is responsible for the activation of Factor X to Xa). Factor IX is inhibited by antithrombin, and Factor IX deficiency causes hemophilia. More Details: Source: Bovine Plasma freshly collected from US Origin animals less than or equal to 3 years of age. Purity: > 94% by SDS-PAGE analysis. No reduction upon incubation with 2-mercaptoethanol.
