Animal Free Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor Purified Immobilized from Innovative Research has been purified from soybean using a combination of gel filtration, ion-exchange, and affinity chromatography then immobilized to an agarose support. This is a resin buffered in 0.1M Tris-HCl; 0.15M NaCl; 0.02% Na Azide; pH 7.4, with a concentration of 5.0 mg/ml coupled and a purity of >95%.
This product is useful as a reversible competitive inhibitor of trypsin and other trypsin-like proteases such as chymotrypsin, plasmin and plasma kallikrein. SBTI binds free trypsin tighter with increasing pH from 4.5-8.0 that allows for a simple gradient to low pH (2.5-3.0) for elution. Can be reused.
