This is a lyophilized powder buffered in PBS, 0.1% BSA and a purity of >95%. This product is useful as a positive control for ELISA and western blot and for a variety of in vitro applications including cell binding, cell differentiation, cell signaling, protein-protein interactions, and receptor binding. Biologically active as measured in a cell proliferation assay using CTLL-2 mouse cytotoxic T-cells. Glycosylated and expressed as a chimera with the Fc region of mouse immunoglobulin (heavy chain hinge, CH2 and CH3). Fc fusion proteins are typically more stable and resistant to degradation and clearance than native cytokines. Fc fusion proteins appear as a dimer in SDS-PAGE under non-reducing conditions.
