MEM/F12 is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. Based upon MEM medium with the addition of F12 and its abudant nutrients, MEM/F12 medium contains a variety of trace nutrients and is widely used for the cultivation of mammalian cells. MEM/F12 is also used as the basis for the development of serum-free medium and is suitable for low serum content culture of mammalian cells. It is known to provide abundant nutrients and trace elements, which are important for the growth and maintenance of mammalian cells. It does not contain protein, lipids, or any growth factors therefore the use of serum or serum-free additives is recommended.
