This Mouse Neonatal Fc Receptor (FcRn) Sandwich ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of mouse FCRN in cell culture supernates, serum, plasma (heparin, EDTA) and cell lysates. Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse FCRN Sandwich ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A polyclonal antibody from goat specific for FCRN has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: S22-S297) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for FCRN is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse FCRN amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information:
The capture antibody is a polyclonal antibody from goat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: The neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), also known as the Brambell receptor, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FCGRT gene. The neonatal Fc receptor is an Fc receptor which is similar in structure to the MHC class I molecule and also associates with beta-2-microglobulin. It was first discovered in rodents as a unique receptor capable of transporting IgG from mother's milk across the epithelium of newborn rodent's gut into the newborn's bloodstream. Further studies revealed a similar receptor in humans, leading to the naming as a neonatal Fc receptor. In humans, however, it is found in the placenta to help facilitate transport of mother's IgG to the growing fetus and it has also been shown to play a role in monitoring IgG turnover. Neonatal Fc receptor expression is up-regulated by the proinflammatory cytokine,TNF-?, and down-regulated by IFN-?.; Immunogen sequence: 369Click here to view a video tutorial covering frequently asked questions regarding ELISA workflows.
