This product is endotoxin free, naturally folded, and post-translationally modified. This product can be use in cell culture, as an ELISA Standard for TNF alpha, and as a Western Blot control. Tumor Necrosis Factor is a cytokine (cell signaling protein) that plays a role in inflammation and is part of the acute phase reaction (concentrations of TNF will increase or decrease in response to inflammation). The main role of TNF is to regulate immune cells in various ways.
