BME With L-Glutamine is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. BME (Basal Medium Eagle) medium, developed in 1955 by Harry Eagle, is a widely used and versatile cell culture medium that has been used for decades to culture Hela cells, mouse fibroblasts, and many other cell lines. BME has an additional 8 vitamins and 13 amino acids than BSS, which it was developed on the basis of. One of the most commonly used cell culture media, BME is also the basis for many other media, such as MEM, DMEM, and Glasgow's medium. The medium contains many kinds of amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts and other ingredients for cell culture, but does not contain protein, lipids or any growth factors, and should be used with serum or serum-free additives.
