Goats were immunized with highly purified mouse IgG Fc isolated from normal mouse IgG. The resulting antiserum was solid phase adsorbed against mouse Fab and the anti-Fc immunoaffinity isolated off an antigen containing immunoabsorbant.

The affinity purified antibody was tested at 1 mg/ml against 1 mg/ml solutions of IgG, IgM, IgG and IgE. It reacts only with mouse IgG by immunodiffusion and IEP techniques.
