“Zinc and apolipoprotein E (apoE) are reportedly involved in the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease. To investigate the associative interaction among zinc, apoE, and amyloid-β (Aβ) and its role in amyloid pathogenesis, we performed various biochemical and immunoreactive analyses using brain tissues of Tg2576 mice and synthetic Aβ and apoE peptides. …The protein pellets were resuspended and incubated at 37 ◦C in a reaction buffer (25 µL; 100 mM Tris, pH 7.4, 0.1% Tween 20, and 0.1 mM EDTA) with purified human plasmin (50 µg; Innovative Research, Novi, MI, USA)…”
