  • Synthetic Human Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) from Innovative Research has been prepared using a proprietary formulation to closely resemble natural CSF.

    • This product is sterile and 0.2 µm filtered.

    • This proprietary formulation uses high purity water and analytical-grade reagents, does not contain neurotransmitters, and electrolyte levels closely match those of natural CSF.

    • The final preparation of this product closely mirrors that of brain interstitial fluid. The pH can be easily adjusted using HCl or NaOH to suit your exact research application.

    Useful as an in-vitro control

Our Synthetic CSF product is useful as a control and can replace human and animal samples for a variety of in vitro applications, including:

    • measuring CSF absorption
    • use as a general infusate or perfusate
    • use as a sterile dilutent
    • use as a flushing fluid for molecule delivery
    • use in electrophysiology research to maintain osmolarity

This product is immediately available and is more cost-effective per ml as compared to single donor and pooled human CSF options. Custom formulations & bulk volumes are also available, get in touch with our team for details and to secure your supply chain today!

Innovative Research was established in 1998 after the realization that dependable, high-quality, and affordable research materials were hard to come by. Starting with core products like human plasma and serum, Innovative Research has grown to be a trusted supplier of all lab reagents, including human biologicals and ELISA kits. Today, we manufacture and supply thousands of high-quality human and animal biologicals including plasma, serum, tissues, and proteins.
