As a result, the reactive center loop will not insert after protease cleavage, and the PAI-1 retains normal vitronectin binding. This double mutation extends the half-life of PAI-1 (as compared to native PAI-1). This product can be used as a control in applications like ELISA and Western Blot. It can be used in a wide range of in vitro applications, including blocking/inhibition, fibrinolysis, plasminogen activation, receptor binding, in hypertension studies, for protein-protein interactions, and more.
