Human Factor Va Purified

Human Factor Va Purified from Innovative Research has been prepared from Human Factor V Purified, activated with thromin and affinity purified, resulting in a cofactor peparation that does not contain activation peptides and/or thrombin. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 50% (vol/vol) glycerol/5 mM CaCl2, with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.

Factor V is a cofactor (and not enzymatically active). Factor V binds to activated platelets and is activated by thrombin. When activated, Factor Va contains two chains (heavy and light) and is a cofactor of prothrombinase complex. Factor Va is degraded by Activated Protein C.
