Corn Trypsin Inhibitor (CTI) Purified Lyophilized from Innovative Research has been purified from sweet corn using a combination of gel filtration, ion-exchange, and affinity chromatography. This is a salt free lyophilized powder with a purity of >95%.
This product is useful as a highly specific inhibitor of trypsin and Factor XIIa that does not affect Factors VIIa, IXa, Xa, or thrombin.. Corn Trypsin Inhibitor (CTI) is supplied as a convenient, essentially salt free, lyophilized powder. CTI forms a one-to-one molar complex with target proteases and is useful for distinguishing between the intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation cascades.
