Porcine Chemokine CCL5 Recombinant from Innovative Research has been recombinantly produced in yeast and purified using ion-exchange chromatography. This is a lyophilized powder with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.

This product is endotoxin free, naturally folded, and post-translationally modified. This product can be used in cell culture, as an ELISA Standard, and as a Western Blot control. Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 5 (CCL5) is also known as RANTES, an acronym for "regulated on activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted," and plays an active role in drawing leukocytes to the site of inflammation. CCL5 works with other cytokines like IL-2 and IFN-gamma to induce the proliferation and activation of natural killer cells, and acts as an HIV-suppressive factor.
