ICNIL1RAR5UGCanine Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Recombinant from Innovative Research has been recombinantly produced in yeast and purified using ion-exchange chromatography. This is a lyophilized powder with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
This product is endotoxin free, naturally folded, and post-translationally modified. This product can be used in cell culture, as an ELISA Standard for IL-1RA, and as a Western Blot control. Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist is an inhibitor of the inflammatory effect of Interleukin-1 Beta (IL-1b). IL-1RA inhibits activity of both Interleukin-1 alpha and beta and also modulates a wide range of immune and inflammatory repsonses as a result. IL-1RA accomplishes this by binding non-productively to the same receptor that binds Interleukin-1, preventing IL-1 from signaling to the cell.
